Dear U7 Parents,

[Also sent as an email to U7 families]

As we prepare for another exciting hockey season, we are reaching out to ask for your support. The Victoria Minor Hockey Association is built on the dedication of volunteers, and the success of each team depends on having committed parents step forward.

For our U7 division, we are currently seeking a Head Coach as well as Assistant Coaches and On-Ice Helpers. These roles are vital to ensuring that the players not only develop their skills, but also have a safe, fun, and well-organized experience on the ice.

Please know that you do not need to be an experienced or high-level hockey player to take on a coaching role. What matters most is having basic skating and stick-handling ability, a positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to encourage our young players.

You will also not be alone, The Board, along with myself as the U7–U11 Governor, will provide ongoing guidance and support throughout the season. We will assist with practice planning, resources, and any questions that come up along the way. What we need are volunteers who can act as the main points of contact for the team and be present on the ice to work with the players.

Your time and involvement make all the difference. Coaching is an incredibly rewarding experience—you’ll get to play a direct role in your child’s hockey journey and help create lasting memories for the entire team.

If you are interested in volunteering as Head Coach or Assistant Coach, please reply to this email by August 30, or reach out to me directly with any questions:

Sincerely,
