Resources

Thank you for considering volunteering with Victoria Minor Hockey!

In order to make each season a success, each team needs the following:

  • Head Coach (1)
  • Assistant Coaches (Max 3)
  • Safety People (2)
  • Manager (1)

Many managers choose to delegate other duties (fundraising, timekeeping, etc) but there is
only one manager who is the main point of contact for the team.

In order to fill one of the above roles, there are certifications and qualifications required. Please complete this form, if you would like to volunteer.

Note:

If you are a first time Volunteer:

  1. You must attain Respect in Sport (Activity Leaders) Certification.
    • If you do not have an HCR number, one will automatically be generated once you compete the Respect in Sport (Activity Leader)
  2. If you have not created an account in the New Hockey Canada 3.0 Platform you will need to complete that first. Once you have created your account, search for your Hockey Canada Profile and Link it to your new Hockey Canada 3.0 account. Do the same for each of your players.  Once that is finalized, you will be able to view your individual HCR numbers. If you have played organized hockey you already have already been assigned a number, you will not need to create a new number/profile after creating your new Hockey Canada 3.0 account. You will only need to LINK yourself and your players to your new account.

We are very appreciative and proud of the contributions that our coaches make each year to the development of our players, both on and off the ice. Our aim is to provide the necessary tools, resources and support for our great coaches to foster positive hockey experiences for the players, families, and themselves as coaches.
