Draw Zone For Victoria Minor Hockey (VMHA)
To be eligible to register with Victoria Minor Hockey (VMHA), you must reside full-time in VMHA's draw zone:
- the City of Victoria, or
- the Municipality of Oak Bay, or
- the Municipality of Saanich, or
- the Municipality of Equimalt, or
- the Town of View Royal.
Saanich, Oak Bay, and the City of Victoria east of the Inner Harbour and east of the Gorge Waterway up to Admirals Road shall be shared draw zones with VRCMHA (Victoria Racquet Club MHA)
- first time registration may be with either Association (VMHA or VRCMHA).
- Residents of Saanich, Oak Bay, and the specified areas of the City of Victoria may transfer from Victoria Minor Hockey Association to VRCMHA up until the completion of the first year of U11 (Atom) hockey.
- The decision to transfer must be made prior to March 31st of the current playing season.
- After March 31 of the first year of U11 (Atom) Hockey, a player may transfer from Victoria Minor Hockey Association to VRCMHA with the written approval of both local association Presidents, the Vice-President (South Island) and the District President.
- Players registered with VRCMHA may transfer to Victoria MHA at any time, subject to available space.
For full-time residents of View Royal, you have a one-time choice between Victoria Minor Hockey (VMHA) and Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association (JdFMHA).
- first-time registration may be with either Association, depending on available space.
- There is a one- time choice of where to register. After initial registration, a player may transfer from Victoria Minor Hockey Association to JdFMHA (or from JdFMHA to VMHA) with the written approval of both local association Presidents, and the Vice-President (South Island) and the District President.
