VMHA Admirals Take Silver at the KMHA U15 AA Tournament (October 21-23, 2021)
.
The VMHA U15 T1 Admirals staged a very strong run though the first two Kelowna Minor Hockey Association Tournament games with decisive wins over the West Kootenay (7-0) and Abbotsford (5-2) teams.
.
In a much tighter third game, the Admirals prevailed over a strong, well-structured Vancouver Thunderbird team 4-3 to move on to the semi-final game against the cross-over team (Central-Okanagan) from Pool B.
.
After a back and forth battle over three tough periods, the Admirals were able to hold onto the lead over the Central Zone Rockets to advance to the Gold Medal round.
.
Despite a valiant effort that saw the team generate multiple scoring chances - they were unable to crack the strong East Kootenay goaltenderĀ and lost 5-0 to the eventual tournament champs.
.
Congratulations to all the players and coaches for a successful and exciting tournament!
.
Go Admirals!

VMHA U15 T1, Admirals

Aggressive game-play, fierce defending and stellar goal-tending have served this young team of 18 well to this point in the VIAHA Placement Process.
.
The team has outscored its opponents at a rate of 7 to 1 thanks to a heavy fore-check, dynamic skating that creates scoring chances - backstopped by a hard-hitting defensive core
.
After two more placement games on October 16th and 17th the team is off to play in the three-day KMHA U15 tournament being held October 22-24th in Kelowna
.
Coaches, players and their families would like to thank all of their supporters and are looking forward to a fun and successful 2021/2022 hockey season.
Go Admirals!
