In addition we have now have the U11 Transition and Rep Prep sessions available (Rep Prep sessions are for players ALREADY REGISTERED for rep assessments for the 2023/24 season and are non contact):

VMHA U11 Transition Plan (ATP) On-Ice Sessions (No fee)VMHA is pleased to offer U11 (ATP) on-ice sessions to help players who are entering their first year of U11. Sessions will follow the practice plans recommended by BC Hockey, where the “goal is to ensure that players entering their first year of U11 are equipped with the skills and knowledge to adapt to a full ice surface.”
These include:
Stoppage / Start of Play – Foundations of Full Ice Gameplay
Spatial Awareness – Defensive and Offensive Zone Concepts
Rule Adjustment – Offside and Icing
Maintaining Game Flow – Changing on the Fly
The ATP is designed to support the Hockey Canada LTAD model and U11 Skills Manual which sets out the proper development priorities for nine (9) and ten (10) year old athletes.
*The ATP practice plans are designed to build on each other, so when players register it will be for the whole program (all 5 sessions). We understand that it may not be possible to attend every session due to summer / family schedules, however we recommend that every effort is made to attend them all so to maximize your player’s ability to transition to full ice smoothly for this season.
Notes:
Players must be registered in VMHA
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis
Please register for either Group 1, or Group 2 ice
No drop-in players allowed – you must be registered in advance
No fee to participate

VMHA Rep Prep for U13, U15 & U18 ($10)
VMHA is pleased to offer Rep Prep for players in the U13, U15 & U18 divisions. To prepare for assessments and the coming season, VMHA will host a series of rep prep sessions in July & August. Any player who is registered to assess for the 2023/24 season is welcome to attend. You will need to register for the sessions to reserve your player’s spot. We ask that you select a maximum of three sessions for your player to allow for all those assessing an opportunity to participate. On August 1, we will release any remaining spaces on a first come, first served basis.
Notes:
Players need to bring a LIGHT and DARK jersey to the sessions
Players must be registered at VMHA
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis
No drop-in players allowed – you must be registered in advance (and paid in full) for the session
All monies raised (if any) will be put back into player development for VMHA
Please ensure you attend the sessions you are registered and paid for, as there will be no refunds given for a missed session
