Coaching Positions for the 2017-18 Season
Saanich Minor Hockey Association & Victoria Minor Hockey Association Rep Co-op
Applications are now being accepted for the 2017-2018 season for all co-op rep teams in the Peewee, Bantam and Midget divisions. At the Tier 1 Level, our preference is to select qualified, paid, non-parent* head coaches where possible. However, our overall goal is to select the candidates best suited for the success of the co-op representative program and the development of our youth talent. Both parent and non-parent* coaches are encouraged to apply for all positions. If you possess the following, we would like to hear from you:
- A desire to assist our players in the development of their hockey and life skills
- Knowledge and understanding of the minor hockey system in British Columbia
- Must be able to provide a current “Police Vulnerable Sector Check” report by August 21, 2017
- Current coaching certifications that meet the requirements outlined by VIAHA and BC Hockey for coaching at this level
Remuneration, based on experience, is available for qualified non-parent* candidates. To explore this opportunity, qualified candidates are invited to complete an online application.

Applications must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
While we appreciate the interest of all applicants, only those under consideration will be contacted for an interview. Interviews will be conducted by a panel of representatives from the Board of Directors of SMHA and VMHA.
Any coaches who have already submitted their coaching application via the 2017-2018 SMHA Coaching Application Form are not required to submit a new one.
